€14,00Small-scale farmers are organized in well-managed central pulperies called coffee fac-tories. The Kaiguari Coffee Factory is located in Nyeri District in the southern part of the famous Mt. Kenya. The nearest town Karatina is 10 km away. This coffee grows mainly on central highlands at an high altitude. Kaiguri is Kikuyu name for “a song”, which helped them when discouraged to defeat their enemies. The saying here goes that when the area occupants migrated from Othaya, they met the Ukabi people who occupied the area. Since they found the area fertile for farming, they decided to push the Ukabi people away but resisted and war broke out which took a long time to end and Kikuyu’s were almost driven out when their Leader sung this song to keep fighting exhaustlessly to win the war.
Beautifully balanced and very sweet - this Kenya is an amazing choice for all filter or immersion brewing methods as well as for those who value crisp acidity and freshness in their espresso shots.
